My keepers say that I am a little miracle! Firstly, I was born at the park, which means my mum & dad must be awesome! It is rare for wombats to breed in captivity. Secondly, one day in late July 2020 when I weighed just 790grams, I was found in the den while my parents were outside. After unsuccessful attempts to get me back into mum’s pouch, my keepers decided the safest option was to hand-rear me. I have now grown a full coat, have outgrown two incubators, am eating solids (as well as a couple of bottles each day – i’m not going to give them up in a hurry!!) and I have learned how to dig and play like a wombat! My keepers say that I am a ray of light in an otherwise fairly dark year. There are lots of photos and videos of my journey on our socials, and if you foster me, you’ll get some more!
